Larry Parenti

Larry Parenti enters the Butler County Bowling Association Bowling Hall of Fame based on 37 years of meritorious service to organized bowling in Butler County.

Parenti began his service as an officer in several leagues. He held an office for 15 years in the Commercial League, ten years as secretary and five years as president. He also served eight years as a secretary and two years as president of the Connoquenessing Indians League; and nine years as secretary of the Buckhorn League.

League service was only the beginning of Parenti’s contribution to Butler County bowling. He has served on the BCBA board of directors for 14 years and is the current President. During his tenure, he has also served as a vice president for five years and a lane inspector for six years.

In addition, Perenti attended a 2.5 day USBC officer training class in Wisconsin in order to better serve Butler County bowlers.

Parenti’s service to the sport has extended beyond Butler County. He has served as a Pennsylvania State Bowling Association director at large for four years; has been a PSB/ Convention delegate and alternate for four years; and is the association's photographer. In support of the sport of Bowling, Parenti organized two teams to compete in the annual USBC tournament over a period of eight years.

Parenti is retired and lives in Butler.
